THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO BEEKEEPING Jeremy Evans
The Complete Guide to Beekeeping is first and foremost a practical guide to the first three years of beekeeping. In the first year it tells you how to start, what you need to buy, how you cope with the bees, and how you prepare them for the winter. In the second year it tells you how to spring clean, how to deal with the honey flows and honey harvests, and how to prepare for possible swarms. In the third year it looks at swarms in detail, as well as the possibility of expanding into semi-commercial beekeeping.
The Complete Guide goes on to cover subjects of interest to every beekeeper. Honey and beeswax products such as candles and polish are covered in detail, as are bee diseases with a short section on the infamous 'Killer Bees' of South America. There's a chapter on Bees in History from prehistoric times to the 20th century; extensive Beekeeping Appendices; and finally a 'Troubleshooting' section which will hopefully answer all and any of your problems.
